This workshop gives translators and other French language professionals the opportunity to improve their English writing.

Open to

Translators, revisers and other communications professionals.

Prerequisite

Participants should be doing French-to-English translation or revision, even if only occasionally.

Language

This workshop is conducted in English; participants are welcome to use the official language of their choice.

Learning objectives

At the end of the workshop, participants will better understand:

• proper definite and indefinite article usage;
• how to employ various prepositional and verb-based constructions;
• how to use the proper English verb tense;
• how to write in a clear and idiomatic style;
• how to properly consult recent reference material.
