Exam preparation and marking

Information about our Evaluation Services

The Translation Bureau prepares and marks exams to test language-related skills. This testing is used to help recruit or promote employees, and to select suppliers, for such tasks as:

• bilingual revision
• writing
• English and French editing

The Bureau can help public service managers ensure that their selection process is fair, objective and consistent. All aspects of the exam can be decided on in close consultation with the client, including:

• the type of text to be used
• skills to be tested
• level of difficulty
• exam length and the pass mark, if applicable.

Each marked exam is accompanied by an evaluation sheet indicating the final score and the candidate's strong and weak points.
