To streamline the glossary and facilitate its use, the following rules have been adopted:

Entries are arranged in strict alphabetical order.

Grammatical labels indicating number are not included when the terms are given in the singular or plural form in both languages.

Abbreviations and Symbols
Abbreviations and Symbols Meaning
; separates synonyms, variants and abbreviations from the main entry term
, indicates an inversion in an entry term
(f.c.) formerly called
(n.) noun or noun form
NOTE introduces an observation on the meaning or use of a term
(pl.) plural
1, 2 … superscript numbers distinguish between the different meanings of a single term
