Some products that were designed to help manage collections of texts and their translations include a terminology component that, while it is not based on database technology, allows a certain degree of terminology management as well. This class of products includes LogiTerm™ by Terminotix Inc. and MultiTrans™ by MultiCorpora R&D Inc. In LogiTerm™, for example, terminological data are stored in a Microsoft Word file, and the individual elements of information are identified by codes. The interface allows searches to be performed in one or more glossaries (whether they are formatted properly or not) as well as in collections of texts. MultiTrans™ also allows searches to be performed in one or more terminology collections at once, or in one or more sets of texts. Terms can thus be observed in context.
