In this lesson, you will learn about some of the activities commonly carried out in terminology work, such as term extraction, term research, vocabulary research, the preparation of terminology case files for standardization or other purposes, standardization committee work, the synthesis of terminological data in the form of records, and the management and dissemination of the results of terminology work.
Objective
Upon completion of this lesson, you will be able to:
- Identify some of the activities comprising terminology work.
- Understand the roles of the various people involved in terminology work.
