Monolingual Glossaries

A monolingual glossary contains selected specialized or difficult terms, together with their definitions, from a particular subject field; it does not aim to include all possible terms in that subject field. This kind of glossary is often placed at the back of a monograph.

Note

The term "dictionary" is not generally used to describe a terminology publication because dictionaries aim to record all meanings of a word (general language). Terminology products limit themselves to one entry per concept within a particular subject field.
