5.5.5. Specifiche minime

Un termine univoco o preferito e la sua definizione costituiscono le specifiche minime di una norma terminologica. Nelle lingue che presentano un genere grammaticale, il genere del termine deve sempre essere indicato. La stessa cosa vale per la categoria grammaticale, qualora possa indurre in errore.

Molte norme terminologiche vengono strutturate per concetto: i termini vengono quindi organizzati secondo un sistema di note che indicano i vari rapporti fra i concetti che designano.
