Your publication software must be able to import the data from your terminology database and export the data in the file formats you require. This is a compatibility issue. If your publication software cannot properly read the data, you will have problems. If your publication software is exporting in formats your clients cannot open or read, you will also have problems. These issues are particularly important when you work with several languages. For these reasons, we recommend that you select a publishing tool that exports in universal formats such as PDF, HTML, RTF and widely used word-processing formats.
