5.5.5. Minimal Specifications
The minimal specifications for a terminology standard are a single or preferred term and a definition. In languages with grammatical gender, the gender of the term may be indicated. If the grammatical category can lead to confusion, the grammatical nature of the term (part of speech) may be indicated.
Many terminology standards are structured conceptually. The terms are organized according to a notation system that indicates the relationship between the concepts.
